Professionally:

As the head of the Reference Center for Pediatric Cardiology of the Republic of Croatia and Head of the Department of Pediatric Cardiology at KBC Zagreb, I deal with the early recognition of congenital heart defects by intrauterine examination of the child’s heart, the so-called fetal echocardiography.

Every day, I admit newborns from all parts of the Republic of Croatia with heart defects. By using our diagnostic and therapeutic methods, we do everything to help children with serious illnesses. We take care of the most seriously ill patients from all parts of Croatia. I perform cardiological examinations of more than 3,000 children annually. One of the focuses of my work is preventive examinations of apparently healthy populations, especially the population of young athletes. With all my knowledge and skills, I try to recognize heart disease early and enable timely treatment of children.

Personally:

I am a passionate parent and father of three who loves spending time with children.

In my free time, which I have little, I like to do sports. I consider sports to be medicine for the soul and body, and it is extremely important for me to be able to function. I love music and I believe that one day I will improve my guitar playing. Finally, I enjoy walking more and more, especially because of the peace and tranquility that nature can give you.
