Support, understanding and self-confidence – we all lack this a little bit in our lives, especially in sensitive periods of life such as the first year after the arrival of a baby in the family.
Free yourself from the pressure of modern society that you have to do everything perfectly, connect with like-minded moms and become the mother YOU want to become.
Join us to share in a small group all the beauties and challenges of motherhood, with the professional guidance of a person who has been dedicated to therapeutic individual and group work with mothers for years.
These support groups areintended for mothers who:
They feel that the transition to motherhood is difficult and would like to have support along the way;
They want to embrace the new person that was born in them after giving birth, but they don’t know how;
They feel alone and want to go through this sensitive postpartum period together with other moms;
They feel like they don’t have a safe place to share ALL of the feelings they are going through;
They are ready to gain new insights about themselves that can help them more easily embrace the new version of themselves as mothers.
The ages of the participating children will be similar (babies a few months apart) so that mothers can go through certain developmental stages of children and the challenges they bring with them together.
Who will leadthe support groups:
Marina Ecimović, psychologist and psychotherapist specializing in mental health of moms, wife and mother of two children.
How do the meetingsfunction?
We meet live in the premises of the Salvea Polyclinic every other Wednesday for 90 minutes during 6 meetings.
The group will be purposefully closed and there will be no possibility of joining later, so that each participant feels safe and supported.
The group consists of 6 mothers of babies of similar age.
We start to work after the group is completely full.
Attendees will be invited to a Whatsapp group if they wish, in order to connect with each other even more.
Attendees can also come with a baby if that’s easier for them. During the meeting, it is possible to breastfeed/feed/lull the baby to sleep.
As part of this group, participants will be able to engage in a conversation with our pediatrician, where they can ask him everything and discuss all of their doubts. That meeting will not be counted among these 6 meetings, but will be added as a bonus.
Topics we will be covering:
How to deal with your child’s crying;
How to fully embrace your new role as a mother;
How not to lose myself in motherhood;
The impact of the baby’s arrival on partner relationships;
Coping with your own uncomfortable emotions in motherhood;
How to learn to listen to your own intuition;
Perfectionism in motherhood;
Childbirth and its impact on postpartum;
Children’s sleep.
