Check-up bya neuropediatrician
When the patient and parents arrive at the neuropediatric clinic, they will spend the first moments talking to the doctor. In doing so, they will have the opportunity to give the neuropediatrician a more detailed insight into the problem and talk about the child’s complaints and symptoms, previous conditions and illnesses, and family history.
During the examination, the doctor assesses the child’s neurological status, which includes an assessment of fine and gross motor skills, reflexes, sensory development, speech, and emotional state and behavior. All this information together helps the neuropediatrician in establishing a diagnosis, assessing the degree of development and providing recommendations for further treatment or diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.

EEG
An electroencephalogram is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure that records the electrical activity of the brain. The record is obtained using small metal discs, electrodes, which are placed on the patient’s scalp.
EEG recording can last between 20 and 60 minutes.
This examination in children is carried out in a similar way as in adults, but may require special attention and adjustments to adapt the whole experience to the child. That’s why at the Salvea Clinic, we do our best to create a comfortable, calming and child-friendly environment where they will feel at home.

Ultrasound ofthe brain
Brain ultrasound is a non-invasive diagnostic procedure that uses ultrasound waves to gain insight into brain structures. Ultrasound of the brain is a safe procedure that can be used from the first days of a child’s life if necessary. This search provides fast and reliable information about the current state and can also be used to monitor the dynamics of processes in the brain.
