During my specialization, and especially after completing it, my professional focus has been the treatment of children with congenital abnormalities of the digestive and respiratory systems. Care for these children begins as early as pregnancy, when such conditions are detected during routine prenatal ultrasound examinations. It is extremely important to establish contact at that stage with the physician who will be caring for the child after birth. During my time at one of the leading pediatric hospitals in the United States, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, I gained valuable experience, insights, and professional connections that have significantly contributed to my continued work at the Children’s Hospital Zagreb.
